With the ongoing pandemics everything has just stopped including kids schooling , playing , meeting their friends etc . Everyone seems to be worried about how to engage kids with productive activities which obviously , kids also should enjoy doing them .
So , mommies ! Here are few magical and productive activities for the lil monster’s. And the most important thing is these activities are very much easy peezy.
1. Easy drawings
kids enjoy’s drawing. So what we can do is just browse some easy animal , fruits , vegetables , cars , toys , and etc from Google and ask them to select anything they like and try to show them the step by step process of drawing through images but not through vedios.
And for this productive activity , kids just need a normal white colored plain sheet of any size which ever is comfortable for you’ll , a pencil , an eraser , a kids tablet or iPad to browse and that’s it.
You can do this for 30 to 45 minutes and kids will have lots of fun doing this. With this productive activity kids will develop observation skills , fine motor skills and ofcourse information about various things they are drawing.
2. Sorting Activities
Sorting activity is nothing but mommies , you’ll just have to mix up either their different types of toys or anything which are available in your kitchen. Yes ! It is the simplest.
You can try mixing up their
cars & crayons , fruits & vegetables , 2 or 3 different lentils, your daily laundry , different kinds of blocks , and if you just give a look into their toy box , I’m sure you’ll find lot of things and then that’s it ! ask kids to sort them and don’t forget to start the timer.
Timer depends on things you mixed up for them & also on the age of your child. This activity is quite productive , kids will learn how to differentiate things , and the greatest thing is they will start knowing about time management.
3. Physical Activities
Physical Activities includes jumping , running around , helping daddy get his charger , mommy get her tiny household chores done , making the bed , cleaning up their rooms , some balancing exercises like walking with one leg , some simple outdoor games and many more.
With the help of above physical activities , kids get active , energetic and it makes them the happy and good mannerd child. You can easily extend this activity from 35 to 50 minutes of time , again depends on your child’s interest and age.
4. Academics
Each and every day make sure to have doing something related to their academics. It is very important to grab their interest in academics atleast for 30 minutes.
Try making it interesting and fun by adding some rules like writing with coloured pencils or sketches , Recording vedios while they are reading a book which creates enthusiasm in them & also tends to perfect reading. You can also print supper duper interested academic activity sheets from various sites and give them.
This makes children get interested in their academics and in a very fun and happy way .
5. Screen time
Now mommies ! Don’t get worried when the kids shows interest in watching TV , using any kind of electronic gadjets . But try to limit the time , make sure to prepare a time table for this particular activity separately and allow them to stick to it .
So now without any outdoor activities and in the quarantined situation, children can watch or use electronic gadjets 1hr to 1hr 30 minutes in a day. But make sure each period should not extend 35 mins.
Include some educational vedios , tiny science experiment vedios , kids fun vedios , mythology , good behavior and any kind of kids series. For electronic games , try including number games or any kind of educational games.
With all these activities kids will have fun , they will be a happy children , productive minds ,and they get smarter day by day which makes parents happy and proud.
